What they say....
Péché Mortel is an intensely black and dark beer with pronounced roasted flavours. Fair trade coffee is infused during the brewing process, intensifying the bitterness of the beer and giving it the strong coffee flavour. Péché Mortel is brewed to be savoured.

What we say.....
An interesting beer from Dieu Du Ciel. The beer pours a deep black almost oil like colour. The head dissapates quickly. Drink this one warm (so let it sit after it has been poured). The coffee flavour was found not to be strong as expected, especially as the beer warms up. The beer is certainly bitter and one to be savoured. The flavours of coffee, chocolate stay in your mouth long after this beauty is swallowed. Lovers of Chimay Blue, Moo Brew Vintage Stout and Trois Pistoles will like this beer for it's full flavour and complexity.

A 9.5% ABV coffee stout that has a very dark appearance and pours with a nice one finger head of foam. A very smooth body with hints of mocha on the palate. Beautifully balanced and i can see why this beer is so highly regarded worldwide.
